Show Notes

"It's not my fault. There's just more to it than that."

Are you a music lover? Concert enthusiast? Are you struggling with maintaining your mental health over the course of the pandemic? This episode of Journey of a Song is for you.

John Flinchbaugh's new record Adaptation Station  was written in  part before the pandemic, but the songs on it--like this episode's "It's All Not My Fault (Hell I Create)"--depict in great, groovy detail the ways in which we've all been forced to sit with ourselves, look at ourselves, and make peace with ourselves in this strange time of COVID. In this episode, Emmeline and  John talk about how John used the pandemic to master instrumentation, explore arragements, and ultimately record the tracks that form Adaptation Station--all on his own! He also discusses the importance of pursuing your passion and how music really does unite us all.
